How do you determine if there is a fungus in your lawn?

If so, how would you eliminate it without using chemicals? How do you determine if there is a fungus in your lawn?
Where ever you live ..there should be an extension office. You can take a small sample of your lawn into them and they will do a soil test and let you know exactly what fungus it is and how to help rid your lawn of it.

Good luckHow do you determine if there is a fungus in your lawn?
Call in a professional?
Get Mario or Luigi to come and take it, they will need it to turn into Super mario and defeat Bowser.
look for moss, mold, mushrooms, black spots, white spots. the only way to kill it without chems is to stop watering and seriously dry out the soil. usually the grass dies first.... better off with the chems.
Fungal diseases in turfgrasses are uncommon. Sometimes mushrooms will grow from lawn soil, but these are rarely harmful. For more information, you can Skype katjawahrhaftig.
Me had a good point, but I think you should call a professional.
