Something that looks like fungus around remainder of food- fix with salt?

Some of the food that remained after I fed my fish, I have noticed, has something white and fuzzy around it. Is it fungus, or bacteria? My fish try to eat it. Is this bad? I've heard that I can use aquarium salt to fix it. Can it?Something that looks like fungus around remainder of food- fix with salt?
That stuff that looks like fungus.. it IS fungus.

Get a net or gravel vac and clean it out of the tank before it pollutes your water any more.

And feed your fish less.

Aquarium salt wont do anyting apart from leaving you with salty polluted water, and dead fish.

Are you sure it's not because the food is absorbing in water and slowly dissolving?

Because for leftover food to look ';fuzzy'; after a little while is perfectly normal. It appears that way as it slowly absorbs the water. That's probably all it is. I've never seen fungus grow on leftover food - fungus will usually grow on the fish.
Yeah, they are right. Its mold, you over feed, and don't clean your tank. And just broadcast that to a lot of people here. hehe

I dare to say ... that you might open your fridge and most likely find something similar in there... Try salting that... see how it works for you
Uneaten food ?

Just take it out of the tank. There is no reason to salt down a tank for something like that.

And yes, its bad. It means you don't keep your tank very clean.
yeah i had that problem to, i just netted it out as best i could and cut down the food supply.....that valerie's a bitchh
