i think you have about a week or so, but for now i suggest you add alittle bit of a salt water concentration to the water/tank of water and if its only one fish that you have then you dont need to separate the fish from you other ones if you have more than one fish.

No not too late, Fungus is easily treated but I would advise a 20 - 30% water change until you can get the meds. Good luck!
you do not have to go to vet to get meds you could go to the local pet-store and get them or even Wal mart carries meds. You could try Mela-fix for fungus. Vet will probably cost you alot
