Can drywood termites and fungus or dryrot be resolved in a house?

I'm planning on buying a house and at the inspection they found problems with drywood termites, fungus, dryrot and ground water seepage.Could those problems be resolved?

Anyone????Can drywood termites and fungus or dryrot be resolved in a house?
The damaged wood needs to be removed and replaced.

The galleries from the termites are hollow now.

Sounds like there is a need for a plumbing company as well. I would ask if the ground water seepage is ongoing or if there is a fixable issue with it. Is it because of where the home is located or is it a pipe issue?

I work with a home inspection company. Deal with inspections/reports and the work everyday.

Some of it can be costly of course. Maybe you can negotiate with the seller to pay for it - in this market it seems plausible. Or maybe you can negotiate for the seller to make an allowance for you to take care of it after escrow in the price of the home.

I just do not understand how people can buy a home without an inspection but it is done a lot. Good for you for getting that inspection!

Do not forget a home warranty. For a few hundred bucks a year - it is a really good idea. Just make sure that you know what is covered and what isn't. I will never go without a home warranty again. Can drywood termites and fungus or dryrot be resolved in a house?
IF YOU BUY A DUMP-YOUR GOING TO NEED A TRUCK FULL OF MONEY- YOU CANT POLISH A TURD
Anything can be resolved if you throw enough money at it. A house that seems like a bargain isn't as good a deal once you've spent 50 to 100 thousand dollars fixing it. If you're truly serious about getting the house, then get an experienced contractor or three in to give you an estimate on fixing things. If nothing else, this will give you lots of bargaining power unless the house is just being sold as-is and is expected to be a fixer upper. In that case, you need to figure out how much you can afford to spend fixing it up.
