How do I get fungus gnats out of my indoor plants?

Fungus gnats are in my marijuana plants and im afraid they are going to kill them. I live in holland so its not illegal. What are easy ways to get rid of them without having to go out and purchase stuff. Any tricks? How do I get fungus gnats out of my indoor plants?
We found a good way to kill household gnats without poison. They love light. So we turn on our lamp at night, placing it right by a houseplant that had gnats coming out of the new top soil. They are attracted to light and I guess get burned to death from the light bulb. Then just use a portable vacuum cleaner to clean up the dead in the morning.

We had been looking on all the forums for gnat solutions, and none of them really worked (bleach, soap water dish, torching, pesticide sprays, etc). We just accidentally left the lamp on one night and found our solution! Try it and let us know if it works for you too!How do I get fungus gnats out of my indoor plants?
Fungus gnats are usually present when the soil is overly moist. Can you let your Canabis soil dry a little bit? Also, remove any old plant debris like fallen foliage from the soil surface. You could run out to the store and pick up a light insecticide, but if you plan on harvesting your plant and smoking it yourself, I highly recommend not adding ANY pesticides to your plants.

Good luck!
i used a fruit and vegetable spray (pesticide) for my houseplants, didnt want a toxic one. i used it everyother day, just a couple of squirts... when they started to die down i repotted the plants after rinsing the roots very well of any eggs and then sprayed them lightly with the spray i mentioned above. i dont know the size of your plants, however this should work for the most part.

good luck
can a small cup and put dish soap in it w vinegar and use saran wrap to cover the cup and seal w a rubberband, poke a very small hole in the saran wrap in about 1/2 hour u will have caught the pests..the saran wrap blocks them from getting out
YOU CAN GET A SPRAY FOR THAT AT WAL-MART, OR JUST ABOUT ANYWHERE THAT HAS A GARDEN AREA.THE BAD THING IS THEY GET IN THE SOIL AS WELL. SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO GET NEW SOIL ALSO.THEY A HORRIBLE.
